Just found this really nice piece of pop-art by Kevin Wada. An alternate poster for the fantastic film, Dark City.

You Kids and Your Modern Movie Posters!
Thanks to the crazy people over at CRACKED.com for this article about repetitive movie poster images.
I know we here at In the Mouth of Dorkness are personally tired of the 90s style "heads" posters. Please, Nebulous Film Industry, stop making posters featuring the heads of the lead actors, either in pairs, in arcs, or as dominating, full frame images. Please stop.
Personally, I'd like to see more interesting, dynamic movie posters, that hopefully capture some aspect of either the plot, the concept, or the spirit of the film. You'll notice, none of the above posters really give you any kind of idea about what the film is or what it's like. It's just faces. There have been some fairly cool, striking, and evocative posters in recent years, though. I'd just like to see more.

YipYop's Darko
I'm pretty much over my Donnie Darko obsession, but I think that designer/illustrator/musician Yipyop has produced one slick poster. Reminds me that I have to crack into my Darko blu ray.
